The Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians is a statewide professional association of approximately 1,016 members, including physicians, residents and medical students. Since 1949, MAFP has represented the professional interests of Mississippi family physicians, providing postgraduate medical education and encouraging medical students to enter this field and to advance the patient-physician relationship.

For every person in Mississippi to have access and availability to a well-trained family physician to manage their medical care.
