STUDENTS
The MAFP offers medical students the opportunity to become active as a MAFP member and get involved in the activities of the Academy. The MAFP Foundation pays membership dues for all students, thanks to the contribution of our members. Join on-line at the AAFP website by completing the Student Membership application.

Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholars Program is a unique enrichment program that identifies rural students who aspire to return to their roots to practice medicine. A solid academic and public service record, strong work ethic and desire to practice rural medicine in Mississippi are the basic requirements. Created by the MAFP and passed by the legislature in 2007, MRPSP will allow Mississippi to "grow our own" family doctors.  View pictures and read article of the 2009 scholarship recipients “Growing Our Own - One Doctor At a Time”.  Also, check out the New MRPSP brochure.
