Critical Access Hospital with related Rural Health Clinics located in South Mississippi has an opportunity for a BE/BC Family Practice physician.
Physician would join an established clinic and hospital practice in a Rural Health Clinic consisting of Family Practice with FP Nurse Practitioners, as well as part-time specialists in Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics and Cardiology. The practice would include being the attending physician for hospital in-patients, as well as patients in the swing bed unit, and the attached Nursing & Rehab Center. State of the art ancillary support is available on site.
Scheduling would include ample time for inpatient management and clinic appointments. Hours are generally weekdays with minimal call on nights and weekends as on site Emergency Physicians assume the care of patients at night and weekends.
The hospital is 35 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico, with its ample supply of water sports, fishing, open stretches of beach and plenty of nightlife, entertainment and shopping in Gulfport and Biloxi. Also an easy drive of 35 miles to the north is Hattiesburg, another of the major population centers in the state. Jackson, the state capital is about 2 hours away, with New Orleans and Mobile, AL less than 2 hours away. Good schools and recreation abound in the county, which is one of the fastest growing counties in the state.
