On March 19th, with cell phones, kleenex and families close by, students nervously gathered on the second floor of the UMMC Student Union, eager to get their envelopes and determine where their residencies would take them over the next few years.  

The MAFP is proud to welcome 16 new residents who matched with our two family medicine residency programs.  Eleven of the new residents are from UMMC and decided to stay in Mississippi to get their training to prepare them for a great future.  We have listed their hometown and medical school.
