Patterson Nominated for AAFP Commission

The Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians has nominated Katherine Patterson, MD, FAAFP, for a position on the American Academy of Family Physicians’ Commission on Governmental Advocacy.

Dr. Patterson is a board certified family physician who works for Indianola Family Medical Group, which is affiliated with South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola. She currently serves on the MAFP Board as immediate past president. Nationally, she is one of Mississippi’s two delegates to the AAFP Congress of Delegates.

Dr. Patterson is a leader in other organizations as well. She currently chairs the Office of Mississippi Physician Workforce and is associate faculty for the University of Mississippi Medical Center Department of Family Medicine and the William Carey University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
