Dr. E.G. "Nick" Ulmer will present this 2-hr session aimed at residents and new physicians. All registrants are welcome. There is no charge for this session, but please RSVP by indicating here.
Sunday, July 18, from 6 - 7:30 pm at the Marina Beach. Family-friendly food and activities. Calling all game lovers to celebrate our Roll with Family Medicine theme. MAFP President and Game host Dr. James Griffin is inviting all families to the ‘Game On’ Family Fun Night to be held outdoors at the Marina Beach. Players are encouraged to try their luck at the many child-friendly games on the beach. Go all in and wear your swimsuit and bring a towel for family events in the water. You’ll win points with our kid friendly menu. From start to finish, you don’t want to skip this fun event. Fee is included in registration.
Monday, July 19, at 9 am at Baytowne Conf. Center. Spouses, enjoy the fun of a traditional BINGO game while making friends with other family members at the convention. We will award lots of prizes. Kids are welcome, but they will receive a ‘kid’s prize.’ Fee is included in registration.
Monday, July 19 at 2 pm at The Raven Golf Club. The Raven Golf Club is a natural wonder that presents drama and strategy on every tee. The format will be a 4-person scramble. Prizes will be awarded to first and second place teams. Other prizes determined by number of entries. The $130 cost includes greens fees, cart rental with GPS, range balls, and refreshments.
Monday, July 19, from 5-7 pm. Starts on the Grand Lawn near Baytowne Conf. Center. PRICE IS PER TEAM, NOT PER INDIVIDUAL. SO JUST TYPE "1" FOR UP TO 6 PEOPLE. This team race will take place at various locations throughout the Sandestin Resort. This game will be similar to a huge scavenger hunt with challenges and clues along the way. Instead of receiving a list of objects to find, clues will be given throughout the game that lead each team to a particular destination where a task, challenge or clue is waiting. Once completed to the judges’ satisfaction, teams receive their next challenge. Each team is racing to be the first team to the finish line and become the champions of the Academy Amazing Race. The fee includes game instruction, judges and refreshments.

Tuesday, July 20, from 2-7 pm. Five-hour trip. Leaves from Destin Marina. Destin’s offshore shelf dips straight to 100-foot depths within 10 miles, boasting the fastest deep-water access to the Gulf, and 20 species of edible game fish are always in seasonal runs. Each boat can accommodate six people. Recommended dress is soft-soled deck shoes, hat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen. Guests meet at the East Pass Marina in Destin. The fee includes captain, crew, bait, rods, tips and refreshments.
