Spring Conference Postponed – Date To Be Determined
As of March 16, 2020, the officers of the MAFP have responsibly voted to postpone the MAFP Spring Conference at this time with the CDC urging a halt to gatherings of more than 10 people for the next 8 weeks. We will notify you as soon as the meeting is rescheduled. This may take some time as we don’t know when our lives will be back to normalcy. If you have made room reservations, please call The Hilton at 601-957-2800 and cancel your room.
The MAFP Spring Conference is held near Ridgeland every year in conjunction with the Resident and Student Spring Fling. The conference offers quality continuing education and fun. The crawfish boil has quickly become a crowd favorite, giving attendees a chance to gather in a laid-back environment and enjoy a night with colleagues, complete with live music. The 3-day weekend conference provides a broad spectrum of topics and concerns to family physicians and plenty of time for interaction with your peers. The 2020 Spring Conference was scheduled for April in Jackson and has been postponed. A new date will be announced at a later date.
As part of the Spring Conference, the MAFP Foundation sponsors the Future in Family Medicine Spring Fling especially for medical students and residents. The 2020 event scheduled for April in Jackson has also been postponed. Spring Fling attendees will have several networking opportunities and chances to get involved. The conference features procedural workshops, practice topics, panel discussions and the opportunity to network with practicing Mississippi family physicians.
